The Right to health and information about your health is important. That is why at SOS Children’s Village’s The Gambia, we take the health and Safety of our children and young people seriously.
To reaffirm our commitment in making sure that our beneficiaries especially the young people stay health throughout their life. A day workshop on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights was organized for 53 SOS Youths from SOS Children’s Village Bakoteh on Saturday the 28th of November 2020.
The goal of the workshop or session was to equip and increase awareness amongst the young people on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights and its implications. Topics discussed during the session were self respect, respecting boundaries, body parts, puberty( positive/ negatives) feelings, Risks( Pregnancies, STIs and Relationships), empowerment, resilience and contraceptives.
